This Thursday challenge 7 and Saturdays workout Sponge techniques

Well had a bit of a rough week , Mojo went on holiday, and did nt think that I would get my examples done for This Thursday's Winged things challenge however yesterday was very productive and managed to combine Saturdays Workout sponge techniques with one of my examples.

Our sponsor this week is The Artistic Stamper and The prize this week on This Thursday is a stamp plate of bugs, and butterflies and a pack of kling-on. What a great prize.

So here are my examples for this week, you should see our guest designer Hels Sheridan's example this week its truly beautiful.

1st we have my altered cuttlebug embossing folder, packaging. This is also my entry for Saturdays workout as I used cosmetic sponges with various inkpads to create the background. I stamped two different designs of flourishes one in black and then over the top a different flourish in silver.

The background for this Vintage card was using Moonglow Inks and then butterflys were stamped over the top.
I stamped the large butterfly in distress ink and coloured loosly with pencil to give a more hand drawn look. Before cutting in half and using as the wings for my No angel ATC

The stamp for this peice was made using scrap rubber left over after cutting out the stamps from the stamp sheet. There is a quicky project on the This Thursday project page explaining what I did.

This was started on Mojo gone Monday I stamped the background, then dropped my stamp on the right hand side making a huge mess, shame because the background was looking lovely. However yesterday, when I made my second scrap rubber stamp, the mosaic background, I decided to use it to cover the mess on the right hand side, Its not one of my best peices but its now to good to put in the bin.

This is my final peice and its my 1st attempt at Gel medium paper, also part of my Mojo gone monday crafting disaster day . Not that happy with it. I painted the medium onto a page protecter. embedded metal foil and different coloured tissue paper. added drops of re inker. Then stampedonto it then added a layer of tissue. Left to dry and then stamped onto it again.

As I said im not happy with it, but its a starting point, my next peice will be much better . I hope LOL

You are so versatile in your styles and in your techniques. I particularly adore the butterflies suspended with strings. I think it is so lovely.
