Tuesday part 3

Now you know when , you get something and you should be doing something else but you can't resist playing. Well the English Paper Company Blog Candy Pack is just like that.
So heres another example using some of the other papers

I inked the box blank with gold ink, although it dos nt show that well on this photo
other than the ribbon and a touch of sakura sparkle everything else you can see is made using The English Paper company papers, The tags come on a sheet all you have to do is cut them out The holly again cut from a tag adhered to chipboard and cut that out. Gingerbread men from another sheet. I really have to stop playing with this for now. Uhm

I was reading some of the English paper company information. All their papers are made using pulp from sustainable woods. So a great environmental choice as well.

If you make a comment on any blog post dated between 22nd Sept and 25th October you will recieve 1 draw fopr each comment. If you spread the news on your blog post and leave a comment telling me its on y
our blog you will get an extra 2 entries to the draw

For more examples look at the other post from today

Tuesday Part 2

I have noticed that some of the people who have commented on my Blog Freebee giveaway have not got a contact e mail or a blog. so the winner will be announced on the blog on the 26th October, so please remember to come back and check to see if you have won.

BLOG CANDY GIVEAWAY ANNOUNCEMENT
Hello all I have decided that I am going to try and giveaway a Blog candy every month. So each month I will put all the comments from my blog posts into a hat and draw a winner.
This month the Blog Candy has been donated by The very kind English Paper Company
With Christmas coming up they have very kindly donated a whole 12 by 12 stack of their Christmas collection (which can be seen by clicking on the above link) There you will see the six design ranges that the whole collection encompases. With something for everybody it is ideal for cardmaking and scraping.
I have made some examples using the Winter wonderland and festive frost selections.

On the angel card I have used one paper as a backgound , tore the angel from another paper and the word Angels sing and adhered with Silicon then I only added some gems. On the star boxes I have added peel off borders and gems. On the flower card I just added the flowers and leaves and on the frost I added sakura to the bow and peel off border and the sparkles either side of the frost. These papers are so versaile to many different uses, but importantly you can get very effective looks with very little work. Great if your mass producing your Christmas cards. Great for Chistmas giftboxes and bags.
Next week I will have examples from the other selections.
I am quite happy to post this to anywhere in the world so please feel free to take part no matter where you live. for every comment on my blog posts between 22nd Sept and 25th October you get one entry into the draw.

Next month I have another great giveaway as well which I will announce sometime next week

I also have two .Yes two free papers (my original designs not the English paper Companys designs (just to avoid confusion) for you today. I love the artworks of Klimt and these papers are inspired by his work.

Been trawling the web to see whats going to be coming over here sooner or later can't wait till we can get The DCWV All dressed up and Rockstar collections they are lush, also like the Chip Chatter Chipboard Foil Alphas. DCWV Web Site for lots more lush items

Also definatly on my list of must haves as well is the Maya Road Birdie Chipboard Book in the shape of a bird. SO want that NOW

Papercraft Junkies Challenge

Sorry my Papercraft Junkies challenge post is late, I have a really good reason, my sister and I had to make a 20 page album in 30 hours for one of my Sisters friends, for her to have in time for her mums funeral. It was finished late last night so I hav nt had time to post.
So here is a slide of the album

It was my turn to pick the Papercraft Junkies Challenge this week. So I thought dimension would be a great challenge for scrappers cardmakers and altered artists. Here are my examples

the clootie well You walk 3 times around the well then tie a peice of cloth to a tree (from someone with an ilness) as the fabric rots it takes the illness with it. The clootie well is a really strange place as its really chaotic to look at all those multi coloured bits of feabric hanging everywhere, and yet there is a feeling of serenity So strange

This is a three layer teabag card done with basket weave fold medallions. I think it looks like a daffodil

I took a large three layer flower sticker by Paper adventures
dismanteled it and used on layer as a template to cut an aperture then stuck the sticker inside the card so that one layer was hidden inside, but when you open card you can see the whole flower.

Pop out card, done with Emboss and pricking medallion stencil . To see all the examples by Papercraft Junkies Design team click Here. Don't forget if you enter the challenge you can win a 15% discount for http://www.craftycarrot.com/I have also a free paper download designed with dimension in mind

Saturday 21st September

Hi well I am demonstrating all day today at Alexander Paper Supplies at Dagfields near Nantwich.
I just thought I would nip in and post a pic of my Canvas that will be part of next months demonstration

I used two wonderful papers from The English paper company. From their Christmas pack. I will be posting more examples of crafted items using their christmas papers in the next couple of weeks. The tags are cut from a 12 by 12 sheet full of wonderful Christmas tags and the paper with the handwritten Christmas worrds and Christmas iconic images . Love them both Love the whole paper pack

Monday 17th Sept 6th Papercraft Junkies Challenge

Hi all

This weeks Papercraft Junkies challenge has been set by Tassy She chose - 'Black, White & Red'
This can be used in any project of your choice

Well I am happy with my cards this week but I apologise for the poor photography, I am having a problem with what settings to use for indoor photography hope to get it sorted soon
anyway here are my examples. I experimented with some grungy cards, as usually the black white and red cards I make usually end up looking very crisp and fresh, and I wanted to try something different. Happy with the results. I especially like the one that looks like the front of Santas coat. I started with the strip of white with the paint daubed florish stamped image mounted it onto black card and though it looked a bit like a belt, as i have been working on Christmas cards recently one idea led to another etc etc.
I also did a couple of other cards as well a retro feel one and one with the free bee paper I have for you today

To see all the wonderful examples by my Design team mates Click HERE Don t forget to join in the challenge to win a 15% discount code for Craftycarrot.com
I look forward to seeing all your great entries
Here is this Weeks free challenge paper

Wednesday 12th September

I have to go to the dentist today. To have my abcess checked out, and to get some antibiotics. I hate going to the dentist Lucky that I have one mind you, but even so I really am not looking forward to it. I just want a magic wand that will make the abcess go away. No such luck, so a visit to the local torture chamber is a must. Anyway as much as I feel sorry for myself, I am sure it is of little interest to anyone else. Other than crafting related stuff its the most excitement Ive had since coming back of holiday. Other than looking through my pics.
Have had some good news I have a project coming out in Simply Cards and papercraft in October , using my favorite craft tool the Craft Robo (kisses the Craft Robo on the desk) best craft item I ever bought.
Recieved the English Paper Company Christmas paper stack as well. Its really nice have fallen very heavily for a few of the papers and the others are really nice too. I know that they will all get used for cards and scrapping projects I have to do some Christmas cards for a Magazine project with them , but I hope to have a few extra to put on here at the end of next week, and possible some Christmas gift ideas with them as well.
Anyway yesterday I promised another in the swirly paper set as a freebee download so here it is

Monday 10th Papercraft Junkies Challenge no 5

Well its Monday again and this is the 5th Papercraft Junkies Challenge.
This week is Natalie's (Natbag) turn to pick a subject - 'A to Z'
Nat says
"My challenge is called A to Z and I'd like you all to incorporate a letter or monogram in your LO/card/ATC/altered project. It can be one single letter, or a whole alphabet, and it can be about or for anyone you like - the choice is yours. "
Nice challenge nat with loads of scope for altered artists, scrapbookers and cardmakers
So here are my two examples

Both my examples are based around a monogram with a word cut out . These were both done with the Craft Robo (oh how I love my craft robo)
My favorite is the baby boy card I used the Clear Choice baby stamp set and whispers ink pads. I inked the monogram with two shades of blue then stamped the baby palm prints onto it, and used the its a boy stamp for the sentiment. I used a baby boy zipper pull by Junkitz, To finish I punched three holes wih a hole punch horizontally along right hand bottom edge. Then used the punch outs vertically on left hand edge

For the Mum card I used pink paisly patterned vellum over a dark green card base nled the monogam in pinks and stamped in black. I used pink flower brads and green permant maker from Sharpie to add the centers finished of with Amy Butler stickers.

I have as always designed a freebee paper to match the challenge so here it is

available to download here
Don t forget the winner of this weeks challenge will win a 15% discount code for Crafty Carrot

Friday 7th September

So what is happening in my world today. Im teaching this morning, and hoping to catch up on Magazine projects this afternoon. That is if I can tidy my craft room up 1st. Im definatly not one of the tidy craftroom gurus. Im way too disorganised, and I tend to get distracted and start experimnting when I should be tidying. Oh well one day my craft room will be orgnised properly, so that everything I want is not always at the bottom of the pile.

I have created another free paper for you

Sunday 2nd Sept

Well have been trawling through my multitude of piccies, I am really proud of some photos I took of a Cormorant or shag. So I thought I would take this opportunity to share them with you.

I can t wait to put them in a scrapbook layout. Talking of wildlife photography I am thinking or organising a wildlife photography crop with a professional Wildlife photographer. It would be a full 1 week residential on the Black Isle in Scotland where there is a wide variety of stunning wildlife with a photography course and scrapping projects based on the photographs you take during the day. The cost of the crop would be around £850.00 it would nt be until next year if this sounds of interest please e mail me rattytatty@fsmail.net

I have created a free paper for you based on my photographs its called feathers hope you like it
