This Thursday challenge 6 . The golden rule Mixed media monday and Theme Thursday

Well its been an amazingly busy week partly because I could nt resist making so many examples for this weeks challenge on This Thursday One idea lead to another idea and then another and so I have loads of examples. So the Theme is The golden Rule. based on a quote by William Morris and you have to Create something beautiful or useful

These are my a bit about what makes me me Bag panels . I had meant to do some more panels for my bag and i adored the effects of the Moonglow inks and Starburst stains supplied by our sponsor THE STAMPMAN . The prize this week is a set of 5 Moonglow mists thanks to The Stampman . A great prize

I made various papers by painting moonglow inks onto card. Then covering in creased cling film, or sprinkling salt onto it , or crunching it up when wet. i also sprayed some moon rock paper with The moonglow mists.

I created the basic panel with peices of each paper added some peel of boarders to highlight the gold in the panels.

I stamped some images and coloured them, but no matter how I coloured them they did nt create the effect iI wanted, So I stamped them on plain white card and I love the contrast it gives.

Each panel is titled A bit of , and we have Mystery and magic, Drama , History, Sea air, Fun and wildlife.

If you like these they were created with starburst stains and moonglow mists and there is a tutorial on the This Thursday project page.

So this is my Pull and push card. I misted on sheet of card with Starburst stains Alpine Ice Rose, Mist and the other both sides Edelweiss Moss Green I just adore the way these glimmer

I used some butterfly clear stickers and some fairy clear stickers to finish this off. Its a card for my butterfly and fairy mad neice.

Here is my screwed up grungeboard bangle , which I painted with Moonglow inks Volacious Violet , In one light it looks like a faded leather in another it has a metallic purple shimmer. I added some screw brads, Coloured a mm Flower purple and brown.

I wanted to show the moonglow inks of so you could see the different look when you change the angle so I dribbled some different colours onto white cardstock to create this background. I also painted the hessian ribbon as well, but the effect on that is really really subtle.

I also noticed that the Theme on Mixed Media monday was rust and knew I could create some rusty looking items with the Moonglow inks so here are my final peices both for Mixed Media Monday

This is my acrylic and acetate Lamp. I created an acrylic box using 3mm acrylic sheet , you can buy it HERE They aslo do 5mm acrylic sheet in A3 and A1 great for making your own acrylic albums . The lamp is lit with a changing bulb this is presrntly a purple light, it looks amazing as it changes , and when unlit too .

and unlit.

You can use moonglow mists and starburst stains on Acetate if you use inkjet acetate and spray on the rough side and leave to dry. Or you can use a heat gun carefully or if you want something that looks really unusual you can heat the acetate until it warps, Keep doing it until you are happy. then flatten a bit by heating with heat gun and pressing flat with acrylic block. I also used Acrylic inks which will dry on normal acetate which you can buy HERE

and my final peice

I think this looks like rusty enamel

You should see all the other examples by my talented team mates,

plus Theme Thursday Flowers

This is a mini acrylic album I made using the 3mm Acrylic sheet from www.fredaldous.co.uk

I used fusible fibre which came from www.thestampman.co.uk and heated it on the acrylic sheet

sprinked embossing powders over and heated it then flattened the sheet with an acrylic block

Interestingly the bind it all had no trouble punching through the 3mm acetate

So that is my final peice for Thursday hope you like it.

I also have some papers that you can download

and you can download them here FREE PAPER DOWNLOAD There are 8 matching papers available on This Thursday free paper download page

This Thursday challenge ALL Change

Hi All

The challenge this week on This Thursday is all change, we have a great prize this week 3 CD roms

Which have been provided by our sponsor this week Little Lous Craft supplies . Prize value is a wopping £40.00 so an extra special thanks to Hayley from little lous

So here are my examples for the weeks challenge

As the theme was change for this card. I did nt use any of the backinbg papers on the cd I took a small section of the main image and blew it up with my photo editing softwear then ran a watercolour effect. I printed the background the mount and the image and flower embelishment

and the greeting as I panel and added fake stitching and borders with Sakura pens

I used the backing papers from the cd, but I also used the teabag papers, to create a small medallion as an embellishment

I think this although not yet completly finished will be my favorite peice. The image is printed onto fabric, wadded then quilted There is a project sheet available with suppliers at http://www.thisthursday.wordpress.com/ on the project page

I also altered a small tin with a small section of the image . There are so many more projects that I want to do with this Cd. My neice has ordered a t shirt. I am going to print the image onto fabric with a black border. Stitch onto the t shirt with border left free. Then fringe the border. I am going to print a number of the images onto shrink plastic and make a charm braclet. I am going to make matching earings and pendant . I am going to transfer some onto fimo. In fact Im sure that there are loads more projects that I will end up using these images for.

Oh our sponsor Little lous craft supplies is having a show on Create and craft tommorow 18th at 2pm showing some more great projects , and if you hang on till the 3pm show you will get a preview of our next weeks sponsor The Stamp man and possibly a hint at the prize next week.

This Thursday, Daring Cardmakers and Layers of Colour

Hi all
Have not been so well over the last couple of days but have managed to do a bit of crafting . So here is my peice that fulfils This Thursday opposites attract.( I thought the contrast between the coloured paper, and the black and white stamped image would work well.)
Daring cardmakers Cards with A peel ( I adore these peel off corners I bought loads of them. I used to be a peel of hater but for the last year I have found peel offs have improved and you can do some snazzy things with peel off pens and make some really doody butterflies see pic)

and layers of colour berries challenge
so this is my finished peice . The bird is actually on an acetate spring so that it trembles as if flying Which you can't see on a photo

I have also been playing with Fantasy Film dip kit that I got from Fred Aldous and I am really impressed. I created a daffodil. I am going to put this inside an explosion box card. Won't that be amazing to find this fragile daffodil inside

If you like the fruit background from the challenge card

you can download it here as 12 by 12 then print of at whatever size you like Free Paper Download

So inspired by my unfortuanly bin full of cigarette packets I set to work
This is what I came up with

Rainbow Ladys challenge this week was make something oriental .

This Thursday, Created by hand, Saturdays Workoutand Sketches by tamara challenge entry

Well I have combined a few challenges again. 1st of all This thursdays, Clearly clever I have used Starburst Stains and Moonshadow inks which I think fit the title Clearly Clever. If you like them you can buy them at http://www.thestampman.co.uk/ I have had moon shadow inks for a while but today is my 1st time with Starburst stains and they are ace. I want them all . Created by hands challenge was pastel colours . so I created my main feature peices in pastel Starburst stains.

Saturdays workout was Raster backgrounds, so I used the stains to create a raster background to stamp on.

As the final challenge I fitted my four completed peices, into this weeks Sketches by tamarachallenge

I wish it had photographed a little better the stamped images are a lot more defined in real like ans the whole thing shimmers
